With 2014 around the corner I think now would be a good time to publicly declare some personal goals I have for myself in the new year. Although I often suck at sticking to resolutions maybe this year will be different...then again maybe not!
1. Be better at saving (Husband is excellent at this - his wife, not so much)
2. Limit hitting snooze to three times max
4. Limit my sugar intake
5. Make a baby
(Brown Chicken, Brown cow!)

6. Take a camera class (read: learn Manual mode)
7. Do a color run (because it looks like so much fun!)
This is my sister rocking it in 2013!
9. Travel somewhere new (Yosemite is a must!)
10. Learn calligraphy

And there you have it - not necessarily in that order :)

What are your goals for 2014?
I'm pretty sure my list of goals I've been putting together looks almost identical to this!! Maybe we can keep each other motivated :) I definitely recommend doing a Color Run... its awesome!!
ReplyDeleteThese are a lot of my goals too except for making the baby. We need one more year alone first! I've got to get better about saving. My husband is 10 times better than me. Why are men able to save easier than us?! Oh yah because we're women and love to shop!
ReplyDeletei'd love to learn calligraphy! I don't think my hand is steady enough, though, ha. And I've always wanted to go to Yosemite, it looks so beautiful!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThose are wonderful goals! I'd love to learn calligraphy as well...my cousin does it so beautifully, I'm always envious of her Christmas card when we get it in the mail. She did all my wedding invitations as well. It's a useful skill! Good luck on the baby making! =)
ReplyDeleteLove it! We are making 2014 our year of travel.. we have a couple bigger vacations planned and then try and go on a little mini weekend getaway each month.. should be an amazing year!
ReplyDeleteMore walks, less sugar. Got it. Taking notes over here. :)
ReplyDeleteExcited to follow your blog and read about you reaching your goals for the year.
ReplyDeleteI've nominated you for a LIEBSTER!!!

These are fantastic goals!! I had Learn Calligraphy on my list for 2013 and took a class - so much fun, BUT so hard haha!! Seriously why are boys so much better at saving than us?! Good luck with your goals!!
ReplyDeletewhen you figure out how to save money... share you secret!
ReplyDeleteMaybe you can find a great deal on a color run in Yosemite, bring Finn along for the run, and celebrate by making a baby :-) knock everything out at once ha! Great resolutions!
ReplyDeleteI like the make a baby part best!! ;)
ReplyDeleteI love your list! Making a baby, so exciting! I need to be better about saving too, it's so hard! And, I also need to limit my snooze button use. It's gotten so bad! For Christmas, Andrew got me a photography class at RayKo in the city, you should take it with me!!
ReplyDeleteoh i love it! ive always wanted to go to yosemite.
ReplyDeleteSuch fabulous goals! I would love to learn calligraphy too!
ReplyDeleteGreat list!
ReplyDeleteI want to learn how to do calligraphy so bad!! I hope it's not hard!
And I'm going to Yosemite for the first time in June and I'm so excited!
I am all about that calligraphy!! And this Auntie is ready for baby P!!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Make a baby!!! Hilarious. That is so awesome. And I am with you on saving. It sounds like someone is going to have a fabulous 2014.
ReplyDeleteThat is an awesome list. The color run was SOOOO much fun. And make a baby just thrown in the middle of the list. I love it.
ReplyDeleteGreat list!! In our house it's the exact opposite - I try to save and Aaron loves to spend ;) but I still want to do even better this year! A camera class is an awesome goal too - I need to do this, I absolutely don't understand my camera and I know it has the potential to take better quality pictures - user error ;))
ReplyDeleteAnd making a baby...how exciting!!!
Sounds like 2014 will be a full and exciting one!! Ya know, I've never been to Yosemite..yes, as a Californian I admit that. We should plan a trip together!
ReplyDeleteAwww such great goals. Love number 5. ;) Babies are pretty sweet!
ReplyDeleteI would love to learn Calography! My best friends mom is absolutely amazing at it. It is stunning. I also want to be more careful with money, I just do not know how!! haha we can learn together. Happy New Year! :)

ReplyDeleteHAHAH I LOVE goal #5! Brown chicken, brown cow! :) Happy New Year!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your blog! I've been following for awhile now, and I'm coming out of the woodwork. I am trying to learn manual mode too. It's hard! P.S. We have the same name.
ReplyDeleteHmmm....I'm wondering how the first day of hitting the snooze went... :) And can we make a lunch bet on how long it lasts? David will tell me the truth.... :) xo sis
