Gender Predictions - Old Wives Tales

I've seen this on a couple of blogs and thought it would be fun since we find out mini's gender tomorrow!! So let's play along one way or the other it's correct!

 Chinese Birth Calendar
This apparently predicts your babies sex based on the Chinese lunar age at the time you got pregnant and the Chinese lunar month which you conceived.

Now this gave me two answers if I entered the date of conception + my age it is says GIRL
If I enter mini's estimated due date + my age it says BOY

Ring/String Test

Tie a string or piece of your hair to your wedding band and hold over your stomach. If the ring swings in circles it's a girl. If it swings back and forth it's a boy.
Results = GIRL

 Morning Sickness

Rumor has it that if you suffer from morning sickness you are having a girl. Apparently women who have higher levels of the pregnancy hormone hCG (which is what triggers morning sickness) is higher in woman carrying females.

Result = BOY

Heartbeat Rate

If the heartbeat is over 140 bpm you are having a girl, under 140 it's a boy.

Result = GIRL (155 bpm)

Cravings

If your craving are mostly for sweets you're having a little girl. Salty and Sour it's all boy.

Result = BOY/GIRL I want all the things!

Adult Acne

If you break out that little girl is stealing your beauty. No breakouts and you have a Mr.

Result = GIRL I generally have skin that is pretty good to me. I have noticed a lot more blemishes since this all started.

Guess we shall find out tomorrow!!

    I've done the gender test with your wedding ring tied to string for 2 friends and it's been accurate for both of them! Can't wait to find out tomorrow!!

    So fun! I did this same post- most of mine said girl but it was a boy- the chinese predictor said boy so I'm now convinced that one is true since it's worked out for pretty much all of my friends!!

    Ah so fun! I had a hard time defining "morning sickness" to compare to the wives tales, as I felt great during the morning and day and just a little yucky in the evenings. I was so sure we'd find out we were expecting a boy; but alas, a baby girl is headed our way in May! (and I really have been insane over sweets during pregnancy- something HIGHLY unusual for me!) Can't wait to check back and see your news!!

    SO EXCITING!!! I think the gender of Baby B switched after the first trimester... at first all indications said boy and now they say girl! I won't find out for about 19 more weeks, though :-)

    Love this! So excited for you! Personal Experience: My Chinese Calendar predicted Boy both ways I calculated but I had terrible "all day" sickness, I crave sweets (usually I'm not a sweets kind of gal), my first heartbeat was 161BPM, and I most definitely noticed a change in breakouts. I say it's looking good for a Baby Girl Parker! :) Can't wait to hear the news! Good luck tomorrow!

    I can't wait to hear what you're having! I vote for team girl - I had no morning sickness (just a few queasy weeks but never got sick) and we ended up with a little lady. Can't wait!

    I'm so excited for y'all! My Chinese calendar was on target ... but other than that, I thought I was having a boy (no nausea, no major skin problems, low heartbeat of 137-140) -- but apparently, girl it is! So, have fun finding out and enjoy one of life's coolest surprises!
