Life Lately

Hello Friday I have missed you!

Last night my friend Amy and I attended a class at our local animal rescue (ARF) called Doggies and Diapers. It was all about how to introduce your new babe to your fur babe. Because you know if Finn doesn't like the baby...well the baby has to go! I kid...kinda? Kidding!! We want to make the transition as easy as possible for him. In fact we practice many baby techniques on him - one of which is swaddling post bath. It's his favorite and he usually stays like this for close to an hour!
I am also headed to the Antique Fair in town on Sunday morning - again with Amy. We are 11 days apart in our pregnancies so that has been pretty fun! She is going to have a boy and I am pretty excited to have our kids so close in age.

This week has kind of zapped me. Between the long drive to and from LA and some other nonsense I need a weekend to recharge. So this weekend I plan on doing some nesting, enjoying those baby kicks and cozying up to my hubby.

    Finn looks like he's going to be the best big brother! But I get it. He was here first so baby you better get along with him! Is it weird I think Doggies and Diapers would be a cute blog name?! Haha

    Oh my gosh that picture of Finn swaddled just kills me. What a funny dog! I could never do that to Jamo, he never stops moving!

    I thought I was the best dog mom around BUT YOU TAKE THE CAKE. SO SO SO SO SO SO SO sweet. If this is any indication of what kind of mom you will be--- WATCH OUT WORLD, there is a new Mary Poppins in town. :)

    OMG that is so cute! Deedee would never lay still like that haha ;) Finn will be a great big brother! I think dogs have a good sense when there are babies around, especially newborns...it's like they can sense how delicate and helpless they are. My friend's giant German shepherd guards their new son at all times and nuzzles with him during naps...so sweet! :)

    Your dog is awesome. I wish I could swaddle mine but she would flip out and go crazy within in minute! Our doggy baby adjustment has been ok, right now she kind of hates him and keeps eating his pacifiers. I think it's because he just starting crawling so she has no idea how to handle him on the move.
