I was able to put together a little basket for David's first Father's Day
I had fun gathering up all the little items. I went with gloves (for dirty diapers), coffee (for late night feedings), a board book called The Pout Pout Fish because David loves to fish, Mike & Ike's (his fav), an "I love Daddy" pacifier, Honest diapers & a Daddy's snuggle bunny tee.
I saw that somehow I missed these went on sale at Nordstrom's and was so bummed as this is the exact pair I have been wanting for years now. How could I have missed them going 50% off?
So then I had the brainchild to contact Tory Burch to see if they would price match. I assumed the answer would be no since Nordstrom had been sold out for well over a month. They were on sale at Tory Burch but for $180 - which is so not $112. Well as of Friday these were still on Nordstrom's site (which sadly they no longer are) so Tory Burch honored the price!! Pretty happy girl! It always pays to ask!
Cute basket! I felt the same way about my breast pump, and hated using it (sorry to be a downer haha) but it was so much work each time, ugh. Maybe you wont mind it though. I know plenty of people that didn't mind using them. And how awesome about your shoes! Congrats!!
ReplyDeleteAsk and you shall receive!! That is so awesome you were able to get the flats - way to go! Great job on the basket as well - I'm sure he loved all his goodies!
ReplyDeleteIt does pay to ask!! Lucky you!!

SO awesome about the Torys! And major bonus for the pump being covered by insurance, I never thought something like that would be!
ReplyDeleteYay for the flats!! How did I miss those on sale, too?! I've been wanting them and the TB Miller sandals forever now!
ReplyDeleteTotal score on the shoes!! That is a sweet basket! Pumps are super pricy so that is awesome that yours was covered.Pumping is such a pain, but I got used to it.
ReplyDeleteAwesome score on the flats!!! And look how compact that pump is! Mine is a whole friggin purse!
ReplyDeletei wouldn't have even thought to try and get Tory to honor that price. WHY ARE YOU SO SMART?
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome about the TB flats! Love that Father's Day basket you made for David! Such a good baby mama!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute little basket you put together for your hub!
ReplyDeleteThe breast pump is probably going to be my worst nightmare...especially cleaning it! Not looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome that Tory Burch matched Nordstrom's price...good thing you asked!
Um heck yea to the Torys working out! My friend that was in town this weekend has this exact same pump. Girl friend hooks it up every 3 hours like clock work and I asked her a bazillion questions hah. Love the little basket - such great ideas!
ReplyDeleteTHE MEDELA will be your BEST FRIEND, or BREAST FRIEND. I exclusive pumped after about 6 weeks. PUMPING was just my thing. Anyway, it really is not as complicated as it looks. You just need to clean the two cone pieces and valves (I think that is what they are called). Oh, and the bottles, DUH. DON'T wash the tubing or anything else. DO NOT WASH THE TUBING. I did and it created mildew in the tubes. BLECH. And look at you savvy shopper!
ReplyDeleteYeah!!!!! I love when stores price match! I like never thought to do that until recently total fail right?
ReplyDeleteI've never asked for a price match, but I think I'm going to have to start doing so! I can't believe you got those Tory's for such a good deal! Jealous!
ReplyDeleteWoohoo on the flats score!! Don't worry I promise the breast pump gets easier to use!! I had a love hate relationship with mine- I hated being hooked up to it and felt like a machine but it usually meant I had some freedom to go out and have some drinks!! Hahaha
ReplyDeleteLove the "Daddy" basket for Father's Day. Such a cute idea!
ReplyDeleteThat was such an amazing deal! Now I'm I'm super sad that I missed out on the shoes...I could really go for a new pair of neutral Revas!
ReplyDeletethe pump looks complicated but after you use it one you get the hang of it and it really can be a lifesaver so that if you need to run out to get something quickly you can because there is a bottle of milk in the frig for your husband to feed!
ReplyDeleteWhat?!? That is awesome you even asked for the price match, and then they accepted! Very cool.
